Location
The Bayshore Marathon and 10K run will start at Northwestern
Michigan
College Cedar Parking Lot on College Drive and finish on
the track at
Traverse City Central High School. Primary race parking
will be at Traverse
City Central High School with backup parking on the campus
lots of
Northwestern Michigan College. Busses for the Half Marathon
will depart from the Traverse City Central High School (Eastern
Ave.) area from 5:00a.m to 6:20a.m.
Check-in/
Packet Pick-Up
Registration and
packet pick-up for the Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon
and 10K will be held at the Traverse City Central High School
Gym. Hours will be on Friday night, May 23rd from 5:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. and on race day from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Race Day registration will be available for the 10K only.
If you are pre registered for the Marathon or Half Marathon
you can still pick up your packet on Saturday beginning
at 5:00 a.m. For

Course
The
Bayshore Marathon will start at 7:00AM on
the grounds of Northwestern Michigan College, then wind
through one mile of residential neighborhoods. The majority
of the race will follow the waterfront along the East Arm
of Grand Traverse Bay including Birchwood Drive, East Shore
Road, Center Road (M-37) and Bluff Road. The course is flat,
100% paved and shaded along
much of the route. Expect a fast and scenic race with some
of the most
breathtaking views available on any marathon course. There
will be 13 aid
stations on the course. Absolutely
no roller blades, pets, wagons or other
wheeled vehicles will be allowed on the course. No radio/tape,
I-Pod, MP3 player, or similar head sets are permitted due
to our RRCA insurance policy and for the safety of the participants.
The average high temperature at this time of year is 66°F,
and the average low is 41°F.
The
Bayshore Half Marathon will start at 7:00AM
near the intersection of Bluff and Smokey Hollow roads and
follow the marathon course along Bluff Rd., Center Rd.,
East Shore Rd., and Birchwood Dr. and finish at the Traverse
City Central High School Track. The course is flat, 100%
paved and shaded along much of the route. Expect a fast
and scenic race with some of the most breathtaking views
available on any Half-Marathon course. There will be 6 aid
stations on the course. Absolutely
no roller blades, pets, wagons or other wheeled vehicles
will be allowed on the course. No radio/tape, I-Pod, MP3
Player or similar head sets are permitted due to our RRCA
insurance policy and for the safety of the participants.

the grounds of Northwestern Michigan College, then wind
through one mile of residential neighborhoods. The course
will follow the marathon course along the west shore of
East Grand Traverse Bay but will turn around at about the
3 mile marker. The course is flat, 100% paved and shaded
along much of the route. Expect a fast and scenic race.
There will be 2 aid stations on the course. Absolutely
no roller blades, pets, wagons or other wheeled vehicles
will be allowed on the course. No radio/tape, I-Pod, MP3
Player or similar head sets are permitted due to our RRCA
insurance policy and for the safety of the participants.
