Full Marathon (Sold Out)

The Bayshore Marathon is a flat and fast out-and-back course. It is 100% paved, and shaded along much of the route. The course starts on the grounds of Northwestern Michigan College, then winds through one mile of residential neighborhoods. The majority of the race will follow the waterfront along the East Arm of Grand Traverse Bay, including Birchwood Drive, East Shore Road, Center Road (M-37), and Bluff Road. The scenic route has some of the most breathtaking views available on any marathon course.

Absolutely no roller blades, pets, wagons, baby joggers, or other wheeled vehicles will be allowed on the course. Radio/tape, I-Pod, MP3 player, smart phone, or similar head sets are strongly discouraged. If you are considering wearing headphones, please read our notice on the FAQ page. The average high temperature at this time of year is 66°F, and the average low is 41°F. USATF Course Certification number is MI22016MN through 2032.

2024 Marathon Info

Marathon starts at 7:15am
All Full Marathon runners will receive a bib.
All Full Marathon runners will receive a short sleeve gender-specific tech shirt.
All Full Marathon runners will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish (2023 design below).
The Full Marathon is an RRCA State Championship Event for 2023.

2024 Bayshore Full Marathon Pricing Schedule:

$115 • December 1st, 2023 - Jan. 31st, 2024
$125 • February 1st - February 29th, 2024
$135 • March 1 - April 30, 2024
$145 • May 1 - May 25, 2024

There will be no race day registration for any of the Bayshore races.

• Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in all age groups (14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65.69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90 & Up).
• There will be a preliminary limit of runners in the 2023 Full Marathon.
• Prize Money is available for the following using Gun Time and will be mailed after the results are finalized.

The Bayshore Pace Team is here to help you to the finish line. Whether you’re aiming for a time goal or just enjoy running with a fun group, our experienced pacers will provide even pacing and encouragement along the course.

Joining in with a pace group is free and simple. On race morning you will find your pacer in the starting corral lined up by finish times. They will be wearing a bright colored Pacer shirt and carrying a sign with their specific finish time. Feel free to introduce yourself, our pacers love making a personal connection with runners, it’s truly why we pace.
