Meet Your Yoga Instructor Tina Metropoulis!
Tina is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and osteopathic physician who brings a unique blend of wellness expertise, mindful movement, and functional strength into her teaching. She completed her initial teacher training through Hilltop Yoga in 2009 and her advanced training with Yoga Medicine, grounding her classes in intelligent sequencing, breath awareness, and sustainable movement.
Board-certified in family practice with a focus on lifestyle medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine, Tina has been practicing medicine since 2013 and has over 20 years of experience teaching fitness. She believes that movement is medicine and that connection and community are essential components of overall health. She discovered yoga during medical school as a way to complement running and manage stress, and it has since become an essential tool for cultivating mindfulness, strength, and flexibility—both on and off the mat. Her classes emphasize purposeful flow, mindful breathing, and thoughtful options that allow students to meet their bodies where they are while building resilience and confidence.
Outside the studio, Tina enjoys running, strength training, and spending time outdoors in beautiful northern Michigan. She loves cooking, reading, and gardening, and finds deep joy and inspiration in being a mother and parenting her children.
